In response to the owner's dissatisfaction with the disjointed layout of their split-level house, which they felt fell short of modern living standards, RT STUDIO embarked on a comprehensive redesign aimed at seamlessly blending form and function.

The transformative journey began with a bold decision to eliminate the barrier between the kitchen and the renovated family room. By doing so, we not only created a more open and fluid layout but also significantly improved the flow of the living spaces. This thoughtful intervention went beyond mere aesthetics, enhancing the functionality of the house to meet the demands of contemporary living.

Taking the transformation to the next level, we strategically relocated the existing kitchen to the formal dining room, a space that was underutilized and ripe for re imagination. This shift not only optimized the use of square footage but also introduced a touch of sophistication to the dining experience, making every corner of the house purposeful and inviting.

The sun room, previously outdated and isolated from the rest of the house, became a key focus in our renovation project. Recognizing its potential as a vibrant and integrated space, we undertook a meticulous revamp. By seamlessly integrating the sun room with the main structure, we not only brought it into the heart of the home but also created a spacious area for entertaining that perfectly complemented the new pool.

The result of our efforts was a harmonious fusion of contemporary design, enhanced functionality, and cohesive living spaces. However, fate had different plans for the homeowners. Soon after the renovation, a promising job opportunity led them back to their country of origin. Undeterred, they decided to part ways with the revitalized property, putting it on the market for $1.5 million. Remarkably, the house sold for 50% more than its purchase price six years prior, a testament to the impactful transformation that not only met the needs of its occupants but also significantly elevated its market value.
